Sports Information Services (SIS), the global provider of betting content and services, announced it implemented changes to its greyhound race time schedule in collaboration with the media rights company supplier of greyhound racing data, Premier Greyhound Racing (PGR). On Friday, the duo confirmed that they joined forces in order to deliver changes to the time schedule for greyhound racing, effective from May 20, 2024. The changes affect the long-term schedule for UK greyhound racing. As a result, the morning fixtures will start minutes later at 11:01 AM instead of the previous time which was 10:47 AM. Additionally, the morning greyhound racing fixtures that used to start at 10:54 AM will now start at 11:09 AM. Besides morning fixtures, the changes affect some of the evening greyhound racing fixtures. This is the case for retail audiences that will see the first evening fixture kick off at 18:08 PM, starting from May 20. Currently, SIS has a leadership position within the betting sector in the UK and Ireland. The company has established long-term licensing deals with Paddy Power, Betfred, bet365 and William Hill in the two aforementioned markets, powering their online and retail offering with greyhound content. Paul Witten, SIS’ Managing Director, commented on the topic in a statement. He revealed that the company is delighted to offer exceptional greyhound racing services to all stakeholders within the sport. Moreover, Witten pointed out: “Together with Premier Greyhound Racing, we have introduced a revised racing schedule that benefits operators and their customers.” Last but not least, the executive explained: “Our approach to greyhound racing is grounded in sustainability and flexibility. This collaboration with fellow service providers allows everyone to enjoy all the high-quality action produced on a daily basis from tracks across the UK and Ireland.” Terry Mahoney, the Head of Business Development at ARC added: “The new race times will help make it easier for customers to navigate busy racing schedules as well as improving operations trackside.” Finally, he said that the company remains focused on delivering services that ensure the best experiences for bettors and betting operators within the vertical. Last month, SIS extended its agreement for coverage of Spanish horse racing with the country’s horse racing association, Asociación de Hipodromos Españoles. Per the terms of that deal, SIS will continue to cover an extensive number of fixtures from the country. Ultimately, the deal seeks to ensure that the company remains competitive within the horse racing vertical, offering premium content for its customers across the globe. Image credit: Pixabay.com
