BetMac review: why this casino has no place in the UK

BetMac is a casino and sportsbook promoted to UK players as not on GAMSTOP; it holds no Gambling Commission licence.

Our verdict

No GB licence

BetMac is reported to hold a Curacao licence and is promoted as not on GAMSTOP; it has no Gambling Commission licence and cannot lawfully serve GB players.

Worth knowing

  • No Gambling Commission licence
  • Promoted to self-excluded players as outside GAMSTOP
  • Main domain redirects to a numbered address
  • No UK stake limits, bonus caps or ADR

BetMac is a casino and sportsbook launched in January 2025 and promoted to UK players as a site not on GAMSTOP, which on its own shows it is not licensed in Great Britain. Reviews state that BetMac casino holds a licence from the Curacao Gaming Control Board, with Sefiarray B.V. named by third parties as the operator; the Gambling Commission register has no record of it.

BetMac review: the licence behind the brand

The register files of 2 November 2026 show no business, trading name or domain for BetMac. A Curacao licence does not authorise gambling in Great Britain. Under the Gambling Act 2005, any remote gambling used here needs a Commission licence, and an operator that knows GB players use its site commits an offence without one.

Why "not on GAMSTOP" is a warning in itself

Every online operator licensed by the Commission has had to take part in GAMSTOP since 31 March 2020. A site that sells itself as outside the scheme while accepting GB players cannot, therefore, be licensed for Great Britain. The Commission says such sites often target vulnerable and self-excluded customers, and in its survey 40% of people who had used GAMSTOP said they had found a way to gamble anyway. If that describes you, the help section below comes first.

Web addresses that keep changing

The main BetMac domain redirects to a numbered alternative address. The Commission notes that illegal operators use domain rotation and cloaking to stay ahead of blocking and search delisting. This page does not list or link any BetMac address, bonus, no deposit offer or app, because advertising unlawful gambling to GB readers is an offence under section 330 of the Act.

BetMac sister sites and the register

Sister sites are normally traced through a shared licence account. With no GB account, there is no licensed group behind BetMac and no shared self-exclusion that a GB player could rely on. Licensed groups and their brands are covered in our sister sites section.

What a GB player would be without

  • GAMSTOP and operator self-exclusion under UK rules
  • the £5 per-spin slot limit, or £2 for ages 18 to 24
  • the 10x cap on bonus wagering and the ban on mixed betting and casino offers
  • the credit card ban
  • an approved ADR provider and a regulator to report the operator to

Closing the door on the site

If you have an account, stop depositing and keep your own record of your balance and messages, since no UK body can step in. GamCare names Gamban as blocking software for phones and computers, with free access through the helpline. The National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133 is free, 24 hours a day, by phone, live chat or WhatsApp. See how GAMSTOP works, our responsible gambling page and how to check a casino's UK licence. Gambling is for adults aged 18 and over.
