Worth knowing
- No Gambling Commission licence
- Operator banned from the Swedish market
- Not connected to GAMSTOP
- No approved ADR route for GB players
Lussurio Casino is owned and operated by Goodwin N.V., a Curacao company with a Curacao gaming licence, and it has no Gambling Commission licence. Its affiliate programme lists the United Kingdom among the countries it does not accept players from. This Lussurio review explains the licence position and the record of its operator outside Britain.
Lussurio is not BetGoodwin
The similar names are a coincidence. The only Goodwin entry on the Gambling Commission register is Goodwin Racing Limited, account 2927, which runs BetGoodwin and has nothing to do with Goodwin N.V. or Lussurio. The register files of 2 November 2026 show no business, trading name or domain for Lussurio itself.
The operator's record in Sweden
Goodwin N.V. has been banned from the Swedish market by Spelinspektionen, the Swedish gambling regulator. A ban by one regulator says nothing about a GB licence either way, but it is part of the public record of the company behind the brand.
What a Curacao licence does not cover
Under the Gambling Act 2005, any business offering gambling that is used in Great Britain needs a Commission licence, wherever it is based. A Curacao licence does not meet that test. The rules that protect GB players apply only to Commission licensees: GAMSTOP participation, the £5 online slot stake limit (£2 for 18 to 24 year olds), the 10 times cap on bonus wagering, the credit card ban, age checks before play and access to an approved ADR provider.
Leaving an unlicensed site
Anyone who already holds a Lussurio account can close it in three steps:
- Ask the site in writing to close the account, and keep its reply.
- Save records of your balance, transactions and any open withdrawal.
- Contact your bank about any payment you did not authorise.
Complaints against an unlicensed operator fall outside the UK system, so the route in our complaints guide will not apply. Before using any casino, run the UK licence check on its footer account number.
Self-exclusion and the helpline
GAMSTOP, open to anyone aged 18 and over who wants to stop, excludes you from all GB-licensed gambling sites for 6 months, 1 year or 5 years. GamCare runs the free National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133, and our responsible gambling page lists other help.

Questions readers ask
Is Lussurio Casino legal in the UK?
It has no Gambling Commission licence, so it is not authorised to offer gambling in Great Britain, and its affiliate programme says it does not accept UK players.
Is Lussurio connected with BetGoodwin?
No. BetGoodwin belongs to Goodwin Racing Limited, a GB licensee. Lussurio is run by Goodwin N.V. of Curacao, a separate company.
Has the company behind Lussurio been sanctioned anywhere?
Spelinspektionen, the Swedish regulator, has banned Goodwin N.V. from the Swedish market. That decision does not change the GB position either way.
