Worth knowing
- No Gambling Commission licence found
- Not part of GAMSTOP
- No UK stake limits or bonus caps
- No approved ADR provider
Despite its name, SafeCasino has no Gambling Commission licence: the register files of 2 November 2026 show no business, trading name or domain for SafeCasino or its operator. This SafeCasino review sets out what is publicly known about the brand, which launched in 2025 and is run by TechSolutions Group N.V. from Willemstad, Curacao, under a licence from the Kahnawake Gaming Commission.
A name is not a licence
Words such as "safe", "secure" or "trusted" in a brand name say nothing about who regulates it. In Great Britain, the only thing that brings a casino under UK rules is a Commission licence, shown in the footer as an account number that you can search on the public register. SafeCasino is marketed to players in Canada, Ireland, New Zealand and Austria, not to Great Britain, and no GB account carries its name.
Kahnawake, Willemstad and the GB rules
The Gambling Act 2005 applies to remote gambling used in Great Britain wherever the operator sits. A Kahnawake licence and a Curacao company address do not count. Offering gambling to GB customers without a Commission licence is an offence, and the Commission describes such sites as illegal operators.
The protections that come with a GB licence
Only a Commission licence brings these rules into play:
- age and identity checks before any deposit or play, including free play;
- membership of GAMSTOP, the national online self-exclusion scheme;
- a stake limit of £5 per slot spin, or £2 for players aged 18 to 24;
- bonus wagering capped at 10 times the bonus amount since 19 January 2026;
- a ban on gambling with credit cards;
- a free, approved ADR provider when a complaint is not settled within 8 weeks.
None of them would follow a GB resident to a site without that licence.
Nothing on apps or offers, and why
The SafeCasino app and no deposit bonus are left out on purpose. Offers from a brand with no GB licence carry none of the UK significant-terms rules, and you would have no UK route if a withdrawal were refused. For what licensed offers must disclose, see how to read significant terms.
Checking a site and finding support
Before opening any casino account, follow the steps in how to check a casino's UK licence. Gambling is only for adults aged 18 and over. If you want to stop, GAMSTOP blocks every GB-licensed site in one go, and the free National Gambling Helpline is on 0808 8020 133. Our responsible gambling page lists more help.
