Our verdict
No GB licenceSupraPlay has no Gambling Commission licence and is reported to use a Costa Rica licence; it is unrelated to the licensed SuprPlay Limited.
Worth knowing
- No Gambling Commission register entry
- No clearly named operator
- Not part of GAMSTOP
- Name easily confused with a licensed company
SupraPlay is an offshore online casino with no Gambling Commission licence, and it should not be confused with SuprPlay Limited, the GB-licensed company behind Duelz and Nyspins. A published third-party review describes SupraPlay as running under a Costa Rica licence, with no clearly named operator.
This SupraPlay review untangles the two names and explains what the missing licence means.
Two similar names, two different positions
| Point | SupraPlay | SuprPlay Limited |
|---|---|---|
| Licence | Costa Rica, as reported | Gambling Commission, account 48695 |
| Register status | No match | Active remote Casino licence |
| Named operator | None clearly named | SuprPlay Limited |
| GAMSTOP | Not connected | Takes part, as every GB licensee must |
One letter separates the names. Anything you read about the licensed company does not carry over to SupraPlay, a site created in 2020.
What a Costa Rica claim means in Great Britain
Since 1 November 2014, the Gambling Act 2005 has applied to remote gambling used in Great Britain even when the operator and its equipment are abroad. A foreign licence, from Costa Rica or anywhere else, does not replace a Commission licence. Whether SupraPlay accepts GB players is not confirmed, but either way it has no permission to serve them, and advertising unlawful gambling is a separate offence under section 330 of the Act.
For a player, that leaves no GAMSTOP link, no £5 slot stake limit, no 10x wagering cap on bonuses, no credit card ban and no approved ADR provider.
Matching a site to its register entry
The register lists the domains each business may use, which makes a domain search the quickest way to separate look-alike brands. Check that the domain in your address bar appears under an Active business with Casino among its activities. Our guide on how to check a casino's UK licence covers each step, and casino sister sites explains how licensed brands share one account.
Where to go for help
Gambling is for over-18s. If you want to stop gambling online, GAMSTOP blocks every licensed GB site for six months, one year or five years. The responsible gambling page lists free support, including the National Gambling Helpline.

Questions readers ask
Is SupraPlay the same company as Duelz?
No. Duelz is run by SuprPlay Limited, which holds Gambling Commission account 48695. SupraPlay is a separate offshore site with no GB licence.
Is there a SupraPlay no deposit bonus?
SupraPlay promotions are not set out here. Take care with the look-alike name: terms published by SuprPlay Limited for its licensed brands do not apply to SupraPlay.
Is SupraPlay licensed in the UK?
No. The Gambling Commission register shows no business, trading name or domain for SupraPlay.
Does SupraPlay take players from Great Britain?
That is not confirmed. Even if it does, a casino needs a Gambling Commission licence to serve people in Great Britain, and SupraPlay has none, so GAMSTOP, UK stake limits and ADR would not apply.
