BetMaximus review: UK licence claims checked

BetMaximus is a sportsbook, racebook and casino with a US wagering line. It holds no Gambling Commission licence.

Our verdict

No GB licence

BetMaximus has no Gambling Commission licence and states no licence on its homepage; third-party claims of a UK licence give no number.

Worth knowing

  • No Gambling Commission licence
  • No licence stated on its own homepage
  • Not linked to GAMSTOP
  • No approved ADR provider for disputes

BetMaximus does not hold a Gambling Commission licence. Its own site, which betmaximus.com forwards to, presents a sportsbook, racebook and online casino with a US toll-free wagering number and states no licence on its homepage. Pages describing a "UK-licensed BetMaximus casino" do not match the register, and this BetMaximus review looks at why.

Claims of a UK licence that do not hold up

A number of articles on unrelated third-party sites say BetMaximus casino is licensed in the UK. None of them gives a licence or account number, and the Commission's register shows no match for the name. Nothing on the BetMaximus site itself targets British players. So a claim of UK licensing on a third-party page should be treated as wrong unless it comes with an account number you can verify.

This page does not say BetMaximus markets itself in Great Britain. It says that, with no Commission licence, it is not lawfully available here: the Gambling Act 2005 makes it an offence to provide remote gambling used in Great Britain without one.

What a genuine UK licence statement looks like

Licensed operators must show their status on their website or app, usually in the footer, in a form close to this:

Licensed and regulated in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission under account number NNNNN.

The number then leads to a register entry showing the legal name, licence status, licensed activities, approved domains and any regulatory action. If a site or an article cannot point to that, there is nothing to check, and our licence check guide explains what to look for.

No deposit bonus and promo code searches

Many people search for a BetMaximus no deposit bonus or promo code. This site does not publish offers from brands without a Commission licence. Licensed sites must state the significant terms of each offer, cap wagering at 10 times the bonus from 19 January 2026 and avoid calling an offer "free" when your own money is at risk. None of that applies to an unlicensed brand. Our guide to significant terms shows how to read an offer on a licensed site.

What you give up without a GB licence

  • GAMSTOP self-exclusion does not reach the site.
  • No UK age and ID verification is required before play.
  • No ban on credit card gambling.
  • No approved ADR provider for an unpaid withdrawal.

Questions readers ask

Is BetMaximus licensed in the UK?

No. The Gambling Commission register has no entry for BetMaximus, and its own homepage states no licence.

Does BetMaximus have sister sites in the UK?

Sister sites share a Gambling Commission account. BetMaximus has no account, so no GB-licensed sister brands are linked to it.

Why do some pages say BetMaximus is UK licensed?

Those pages sit on unrelated sites and give no licence number. Without a number that matches an Active register entry, the claim cannot be relied on.

Can a UK player claim a BetMaximus no deposit bonus?

No offer is listed here. A brand without a Commission licence is outside the GB rules on significant terms and wagering, so any such offer comes with no UK protection.
