Playtech slots: Age of the Gods, live casino and UK sites
Playtech's GB licence, its Age of the Gods jackpots and branded slots, its live casino and the UK casinos that list its games.

Playtech slots come from Playtech plc, a supplier founded in 1999, headquartered in the UK and listed on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange. It is licensed by the Gambling Commission under account 38516. Playtech is best known for the Age of the Gods jackpot suite, a large library of film and TV branded slots and a live casino that includes Mega Fire Blaze Roulette. Unlike most studios on this site, it also supplies whole casino platforms and holds operating licences, not only software ones.

Playtech's licence: supplier and operator
The Gambling Commission (UKGC) register lists Playtech Plc under account 38516. Its remote licence, 038516-R-319097-034, includes Gambling Software, active since 25 September 2014, and also Casino (since 1 November 2014), Bingo, General Betting Standard - Real Event and Gaming Machine Technical Full activities. In other words, Playtech is licensed to operate gambling for consumers as well as to supply it, which is unusual among the studios covered in our provider guide. The register shows two trading names under the account: "playtech" and "ipoker".
Playtech describes itself as a platform, content and services provider, with product lines across casino, live, poker, bingo, retail, betting and sports. Its locations page says it is headquartered in the UK with offices in 20 countries. For a player, the practical point is the same as with any studio: your account and money sit with the casino that holds the remote casino licence, and our guide to checking a licence shows how to confirm it.
Age of the Gods and Playtech progressive jackpots
Age of the Gods is a suite of slots built around Greek and Roman mythology, which Playtech says has been one of its top performers since 2016 and has won industry awards. Playtech presents it as a jackpot suite. Where a slot feeds a progressive jackpot, part of each stake goes into a shared prize pool, which has two consequences for players: the base game pays back less than it would without the jackpot contribution, and the chance of any one spin landing the top prize is very small. The game's help screen states how the jackpot is triggered and how the RTP splits between base game and jackpot. Our guide to jackpot slots explains how progressive and fixed jackpots differ and what to check in the game rules.
Branded slots and best-known titles
Playtech holds licences for a long list of film and TV brands. Its own product page names The Walking Dead, Gladiator, The Mummy, Rocky, Gold Rush and Breaking Bad among its branded titles. Its non-branded catalogue includes Buffalo Blitz, which Playtech has also used as the basis for a live-hosted slot format.
| Title or range | Type |
|---|---|
| Age of the Gods | Mythology slot suite with progressive jackpots |
| Gladiator, The Mummy, Rocky, The Walking Dead | Film and TV branded slots |
| Buffalo Blitz | Slot, also the basis of Playtech's Live Slots concept |
| Mega Fire Blaze Roulette | Live roulette |
| Adventures Beyond Wonderland | Live game show |
None of these has a full spec card on this site yet, so check RTP, volatility and maximum win in each game's help screen at your casino. GB versions can run a different RTP from versions in other markets.
Playtech live casino and roulette
Playtech Live is one of the main live casino suppliers in GB lobbies. Playtech's own description highlights Mega Fire Blaze Roulette as one of its most popular live games and Adventures Beyond Wonderland as an award-winning game show. Its Live Slots concept puts a live host on top of RNG slot content, starting with Buffalo Blitz, which Playtech presents as the first time live hosting has been combined with RNG content. The live range also includes games built on TV formats such as Family Feud and Who Wants to be a Millionaire?, brands familiar to British viewers.
Live roulette and blackjack are not covered by the £5 slot stake limit, but since 17 January 2025 every online casino game in Great Britain must take at least 5 seconds per game cycle, with no autoplay and a real-time display of your net spend and time played. Our pages on online roulette and live dealer casinos explain the bets and the rules.
Bingo and poker from Playtech
Bingo and poker are both listed product lines, and the register's Bingo activity and the "ipoker" trading name sit under the same Playtech account. Which Playtech bingo rooms or poker tables a casino carries depends on its own platform, so check the operator's lobby rather than the supplier's site. For bingo formats and how online rooms work in Great Britain, see our online bingo guide.
Playtech casinos in the UK
Among the operators reviewed on this site, Bella Casino, Mecca Games, Amazon Slots and LuckyMate name Playtech in their published provider lists; Mecca Games gives it a studio section in its lobby, and LuckyMate lists Playtech Live among its live suppliers. Virgin Bet names Playtech, with Evolution and Pragmatic Live, for its live tables. Lobby line-ups change, so search for the specific game before you deposit.
When a casino offer uses a Playtech game, the terms are the casino's. Wagering on bonus funds is capped at 10x under GB rules from 19 January 2026, but eligible games, jackpot eligibility, spin values and expiry dates still differ, so read the significant terms next to the offer.
Playtech slots under GB stake rules
Online slots at GB-licensed casinos, Playtech's included, have a maximum stake of £5 per spin, or £2 if you are 18-24, and each spin takes at least 2.5 seconds. Demo versions are available at many casinos, but GB-licensed sites must verify your age before you can play them. This site does not host playable demos.
