Burn 'Em Up slot review: Barcrest's blue-reel free spins, RTP and stakes
A 2019 Barcrest game on 10 lines where the logo opens 12 free spins on blue reels and a randomly chosen symbol expands in each free game.
Jokers, crowns and a logo symbol that opens the free spins make up the Burn 'Em Up slot, released by Barcrest in July 2019. Barcrest is a Scientific Games brand, now part of Light & Wonder. The game uses five reels, three rows and 10 lines, is rated high volatility, and lists a 96% RTP. Its one bonus round is a set of free spins with an expanding symbol.

Free spins on the blue reels
Land the game logo in the required number and the reels change to a blue set for 12 free spins. Before each free game, one symbol is picked at random to act as an expanding symbol for that spin. The paytable inside the game explains when that symbol expands and how it pays. More logos during the feature add 10 extra spins.
Outside the feature, the joker carries the paytable. It is wild, it stands in for every symbol except the logo, and it pays up to 5,000x the line bet. The crown is next, paying up to 1,000x the line stake. All of these are line-bet multiples, so with 10 lines they are a tenth as large as a figure quoted against the total stake would be.
The 96% RTP and the stake question
Burn 'Em Up is listed at 96%. Third-party sources add a detail that matters for anyone who plays at low stakes: spins under 2.00 per spin are said to pay 94%, with 96% only above that. This is not a figure from the provider's own sheet, so read the help screen inside the game at your casino, which states the return for the version you have open. If the claim holds, small-stake play gives back about two pence less in every £1 over the long run.
Sources also disagree sharply on the top win, from 1,000x to 250,000x, so the spec card leaves it out. Be wary of any page that quotes one of those numbers as settled.
Stakes in Great Britain
The game sheet runs from £0.10 to £500 a spin. At GB-licensed casinos online slots are capped at £5 per spin, and at £2 for customers aged 18 to 24, so most of that range is closed off. If the stake-linked RTP claim is accurate, a player aged 18 to 24 cannot stake above the point where the higher return is said to start. The slot stake limits guide sets out both caps.
Burn 'Em Up demo, free play and look-alikes
Burn 'Em Up free play draws more searches than the game itself, but nothing playable sits on this page. A licensed casino can offer the demo only to an account that has already passed age and identity verification. The original has no bonus buy in its feature list, so searches for a Burn 'Em Up bonus buy usually lead elsewhere.
Do not confuse this game with 777 Burn 'Em Up, a separate title attributed to Red7 with its own maths. Check the provider name in the lobby before relying on any figures here. The online slots hub and the slot volatility guide help put a high-volatility game like this in context.
