The original 2017 game, not the sequels

This page covers the first game only. Danger High Voltage 2 and Danger High Voltage Megapays are later releases with their own rules and returns. Sources differ slightly on the release date (1 May 2017 in two databases, 4 May in a third) and on the volatility, which most rate as high and one as medium to high. None of that changes how the game plays, but it is worth knowing if figures you see elsewhere do not match.

Wild reels in the base game

With 4,096 ways, wins are counted on adjacent reels from left to right rather than on fixed lines. The base game adds two kinds of random wild reel: a plain wild reel and a wild reel carrying a 6x multiplier. Either can turn an ordinary spin into a sizeable one, and they are the main reason the base game does not simply mark time until the bonus.

Danger! High Voltage slot free spins: which to choose

When the free spins trigger, you are offered two options, and the choice matters. One option picks a random symbol and makes it a sticky wild for the whole feature. The other option brings a High Voltage wild reel with multipliers of up to 66x. The first leans on wilds staying put through the round; the second leans on one reel and the size of its multiplier. The paytable at your casino explains each option in full before you choose.

Two RTP figures and high volatility

The 95.67% figure comes from the provider's own page; the 96.22% figure appears in databases. A casino may run a particular build, and the figure that applies is shown in the game's information panel. High volatility means long runs without significant wins are normal, with most of the return concentrated in less frequent large results. The slot volatility guide explains what that means for a budget, and the RTP guide covers the return figure.

On stakes, the game starts at £0.20 and its international sheet goes up to €40. A GB player never sees that upper range: the slot stake limits hold each online slot spin to £5, or £2 for those aged 18 to 24.

Comparing the bonus options in a Danger High Voltage demo

Because the free spins choice is the game's defining decision, a Danger High Voltage demo is most useful for seeing both options play out without a stake. Big Time Gaming previews its games on its own website. GB casinos can offer demo mode too, but they must verify your age and identity before you open any game, free versions included. There is no playable copy on this site. More on the studio is on the Big Time Gaming page.

Big Time Gaming is in the provider lists of the casinos shown with this page; the lobby search confirms whether the 2017 original is live. 18+ only, and the responsible gambling page covers limits and support.
