The Greatest Catch slot review: Evoplay's fishing game

Evoplay's 2022 fishing slot with collecting wilds, rising multipliers and a dynamite feature after losing spins.

By Eleanor Hartley, editor · Checked on 1 November 2026

The Greatest Catch is a 10-line fishing slot from Evoplay, released in April 2022, with an RTP of 96.09%, medium-high volatility and a stated top win of 10,000x the stake. Evoplay expresses the maximum as EUR 750,000 as well as "up to 10,000x". The structure will look familiar to anyone who knows fishing slots: free spins in which wilds collect the values on fish, with multipliers that grow as more wilds land.

The Greatest Catch: not The Big Catch

The name causes confusion. This is the only game found under this exact title, and it is not part of Blueprint's Fishin' Frenzy The Big Catch series, which is a different game from a different studio. If a casino lobby shows a Big Catch title with a Blueprint label, it is not the game reviewed here; the Fishin' Frenzy review covers that family.

Free spins, collecting wilds and the multiplier ladder

Three, four or five scatters award 10, 15 or 20 free spins. During the round, wilds collect the values shown on fish symbols. Every fourth wild adds 10 more free spins and lifts the fishing multiplier, first to 2x, then 3x, then 10x. As with other games built this way, most of the return is concentrated in rounds that climb the ladder, which explains the medium-high volatility rating.

The dynamite feature

The base game has one extra twist: after a losing spin, a dynamite feature can turn symbols into fish. It gives the base game more to do than a plain line slot, though the larger outcomes still come from the free spins.

RTP, stakes and bonus buy

A 96.09% RTP is a long-run average, and operators can run different builds, so check the information screen in the game. The spec card does not list a stake range; whatever the game allows, GB-licensed casinos cap online slot stakes at £5 per spin, or £2 for players aged 18 to 24. The features listed for The Greatest Catch do not include a bonus buy, and no GB version with one was found.

How to find The Greatest Catch at a licensed casino

None of the licensed operators on this site names Evoplay or this title in the documents read, so no casino is listed here. To check a casino yourself, sign in to a GB-licensed site, search the lobby for "The Greatest Catch" or filter by the provider Evoplay; if neither appears, the game is not offered there. Every supplier to the GB market needs a Gambling Commission software licence, so a game showing in a licensed lobby has passed that route. Demo mode, where a licensed casino offers it, also needs age verification first; there is no demo on this site. The online slots hub lists other fishing games that are confirmed in GB lobbies.

For bonus spins on any slot, the free spins bonuses guide explains spin value, expiry and the 10x cap on wagering of bonus funds in force since 19 January 2026. 18+ only; the responsible gambling page covers limits and support.
