Independent Casino Sites UK: single-brand licence holders
Casinos whose licence holder runs only its own brand, identified from the domains each Gambling Commission account lists, with how to check any site yourself.

Independent casino sites are brands whose licence holder runs only its own casino, rather than one of many sister sites on a shared licence or white-label platform. The Gambling Commission register lets you check this, because every licensed account lists the domain names notified to it, and some domains are marked "White Label". On that test, the twelve operators below each run a single brand on their own account, while several of the best-known names in British online gambling share a licence with a dozen or more others.

What the register shows about who runs a casino
Each entry on the Gambling Commission (UKGC) public register belongs to a licence holder: the company that holds the licence and carries legal responsibility for compliance. The entry shows its account number, each licence with its status and start date, trading names, and the domains notified to the Commission, each marked Active, Inactive or White Label.
A brand can sit on another company's licence. The Commission is clear that responsibility then stays with the licence holder and cannot be transferred. That is why "independent" is best read as a question about the licence holder: does this company run one brand, or many?
Groups and platforms behind familiar brands
For comparison, here is how some operators reviewed on this site are organised, from the register on 1 November 2026 and their own terms:
- Gamesys Operations Limited (account 38905): MONOPOLY Casino, Virgin Games, Double Bubble Bingo and Jackpotjoy all sit on this one account.
- LC International Limited (account 54743): Coral, Ladbrokes, Gala Bingo, Gala Casino, Gala Spins, Foxy Bingo and Foxy Games, alongside bwin and partycasino domains.
- Bonne Terre Gaming Limited (account 65519): Sky Vegas, Sky Bingo, Sky Casino and Sky Poker.
- Rank Interactive (Gibraltar) Limited (account 57924): its terms list Bella Casino, Grosvenor Casinos, Mecca Bingo, Mecca Games, Kitty Bingo, Lucky Pants Bingo, Magical Vegas and other brands of The Rank Group.
- Skill On Net Limited (account 39326): PlayOJO, Spin Genie, Lord Ping, Luna Casino, Megaways Casino, Metal Casino and Zingo Bingo, among many domains.
- Videoslots Limited (account 39380): Videoslots, Mr Vegas and Mega Riches.
- L & L Europe Limited (account 38758): Pub Casino, Yeti Casino and several other casino domains.
- Jumpman Gaming Limited (account 39175, Amazon Slots) and Broadway Gaming Ireland DF Limited (account 58267, Costa Bingo and Wink Slots): each lists well over a hundred domains.
- Anakatech Interactive Limited (account 48789): LuckyMate and Winomania, plus a number of domains marked White Label.
- Virgin Bet Limited (account 54310): one domain, virginbet.com, but marked White Label on the register.
Being part of a group is not a mark against a casino. Group sites follow the same rules, and a large holder often has well-documented terms and payment pages. It does mean that "sister sites" share a company, and often the same terms, offers and account systems. The casino sister sites page maps those groups.
Independent online casinos ranked
The operators below hold their own licence and list only their own brand's domains. Two of them, AK Bets and Slots Temple, are known here from the register and little else, so their current offers, payments and app details are set out in their own terms, which change often.

- MrQ: Tek Fox Ltd, account 60629, which lists a single domain, mrq.com. MrQ is also the highest-scored brand on this page, with no wagering on its promotions; the MrQ review has the detail.
- Midnite: Midnite Limited, account 101839, with only midnite.com. The same domain is also still listed on the account of Dribble Media Limited, which holds no other brand.
- Buzz Bingo: Buzz Bingo Digital Limited, account 57594, with buzzbingo.com and buzzcasino.com only, both the same brand.
- Lottoland: EU Lotto Limited, account 38991, one domain, lottoland.co.uk.
- bet365: Hillside (UK Gaming) ENC, account 55149, one domain, bet365.com, with its own exclusive Originals among the third-party games.
- Casumo: Recro Limited, account 61549, one domain, casumo.com, and its own live studio.
- BetGoodwin: Goodwin Racing Limited, account 2927, with betgoodwin.co.uk and goodwinracing.co.uk, both its own.

- Lottomart: Maple International Ventures Limited, account 51833, with only Lottomart domains. It combines a casino lobby with lotto betting on draws.
- tombola Arcade: tombola (International) Plc, account 38613, whose domains are tombola and tombola Arcade only. It is also unusual in building its games in-house, so its slots are not found elsewhere.
- AK Bets: Akbo Limited, account 66030, one domain, remote casino licence active from 27 March 2025.
- Slots Temple: Digital Division Ltd, account 58086, one domain, remote casino licence active from 30 November 2021.
What independence does and does not tell you
An independent casino in the UK still draws most of its games from the same licensed studios as everyone else; every supplier to GB customers needs a Commission software licence. Only a few operators, such as tombola, make their own games, and bet365 adds a handful of in-house Originals. Independence also does not change your protections: age and identity checks before deposit, GAMSTOP, deposit limit prompts, the £5 slot stake limit (£2 for 18 to 24) and the 10x cap on bonus wagering apply to all licensees.
What it can tell you is practical. A single-brand holder's terms are written for that brand alone, its offers are not copied across dozens of sites, and closing or self-excluding from one account does not leave a list of sister sites to think about. A new independent casino is also easier to trace: see new casino sites for how licence start dates and domain moves are read.
How to check whether a casino is independent
- Find the licence holder and account number in the casino's footer or terms.
- Open that account on the Gambling Commission public register.
- Read the domain list: one brand's domains suggests independence; many unrelated brand names point to a group.
- Look for the White Label status, which signals the brand runs on another business's arrangement.
- Read the company section of the terms, which often names the wider group.
Each operator ranked here also has an entry in the casino reviews where a full review exists. You must be 18 or over to gamble; the responsible gambling page explains limits and self-exclusion.
Questions readers ask
What is an independent online casino?
In practice it is a casino whose licence holder runs only its own brand, rather than a group of sister sites or a white-label arrangement. The Gambling Commission register shows the domains each licence holder runs.
Are independent casinos safer than group casinos?
No more and no less by law. Every GB licensee follows the same rules on age checks, GAMSTOP, deposit limits, stake limits and bonus wagering. Independence mainly affects whether terms and offers are shared with other sites.
What does White Label mean on the register?
It marks a domain run under a white-label arrangement. Responsibility for compliance stays with the licence holder named on the register.
Do independent casinos have their own games?
Most use the same licensed studios as other casinos. A few build games in-house: tombola makes all of its own, and bet365 adds exclusive Originals to its third-party lobby.
Where can I find new independent casinos?
Look for recent licence start dates on the register combined with a short domain list. The new casino sites page explains how to read both.
