Free spins no deposit: what UK offers involve in 2026
No deposit free spins are the only spins that can truly be called free. Why they are small, what caps apply and how to read a registration offer.
Free spins with no deposit are spins credited when you open an account, before you pay anything in. At casinos licensed in Great Britain they are the one type of spins offer that can properly be called free, and they are usually small: a handful of spins at a low value, a cap on what you can win and sometimes wagering of up to 10x. One operator with readable terms on this site currently offers them, Sky Vegas; the table further down puts it first and then lists the lowest-deposit spins offers, labelled as such.

What counts as no deposit free spins in Great Britain
A genuine no-deposit offer gives spins for registration alone. You do not deposit, you do not stake your own money, and the spins are credited on a named slot at a fixed value. The ASA's guidance on promotions is the reason this distinction matters: "free" may only describe an offer that does not require you to risk your own money. An offer that needs a £10 deposit is a deposit offer, however it is headlined.
Registration is not instant at a licensed casino. Since 7 May 2019 operators have had to verify your age and identity before you can deposit, gamble or even play free versions of games, so spins on registration are only usable once those checks are complete.
Why genuine free spins on registration are small
A no-deposit offer costs the casino money with no guarantee you will ever deposit, so the terms limit that cost in three ways:
- Few spins at a low value. Twenty spins at 10p is £2 of play; 50 free spins at 10p is £5.
- A maximum win. Whatever the spins return, only winnings up to the cap can be kept.
- Wagering on winnings. Where it applies, GB rules cap it at 10 times the bonus funds since 19 January 2026.
Offers headlined "20 free spins on registration" or "25 free spins on registration" fit this pattern. The number of spins tells you little until you know the spin value and the cap.
Reading a registration spins offer: a worked example
Take a hypothetical offer of 25 spins at 10p on registration, with winnings paid as bonus funds, wagering of 10x and a maximum win of £50.
| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| Face value | 25 x 10p = £2.50 of spins |
| Spins return £4 | £4 is credited as bonus funds, not cash |
| Wagering | £4 x 10 = £40 must be staked before it converts |
| Result | Whatever balance survives the £40 of play, up to the £50 cap, becomes withdrawable |
The same spins with no wagering would turn the £4 into cash straight away. That is why "no wager" is the most useful phrase to look for in a no-deposit offer.
Wager-free no deposit spins and "keep what you win"
Offers sold as "keep what you win" usually mean the winnings are paid as cash without wagering. Read the next line of the terms anyway: a maximum win, a short expiry or a single eligible slot can still apply. Spins with no deposit and no wagering at the same time are the rarest combination of all. The broader guide to no wagering free spins covers the deposit-based versions, which are more common.
Sky Vegas: spins on registration with no wagering
The rare combination does exist on one current terms sheet. Sky Vegas credits spins when you register and adds more after a deposit and stake: 50 bonus spins on registration, no deposit, then 200 bonus spins after depositing and staking £10.
No wagering on free-spin winnings; 7-day spin expiry; £10 deposit and stake within 30 days of registration; spins loaded on the first eligible game chosen; existing Sky Betting & Gaming customers excluded
The registration spins land on the first eligible game you choose and expire after 7 days, and existing Sky Betting & Gaming customers cannot claim them. Only the second part of the offer asks for £10 of your own money.
Low-deposit alternatives on current terms sheets
If you are prepared to deposit a small amount, the other offers below are the closest current alternatives. Apart from the first row, each needs a deposit and a stake of your own money, so none of them is a no-deposit offer.

Checking that a free spins offer is genuine
A no-deposit offer is only worth anything if the casino behind it is licensed for players in Great Britain. Before you register:
- Find the licence holder's name and Gambling Commission account number in the casino's footer.
- Look the company up on the Commission's public register and check its casino licence is active and the domain is listed.
- Read the offer's full terms, not only the headline, and note the cap and expiry.
- Expect identity checks; a site that promises spins with no verification is not operating under GB rules.
The wider no deposit bonus guide covers bonus cash and free-to-play games as well as spins.
18+ only. Even free spins can lead to deposits you had not planned, so set a deposit limit at registration and see the responsible gambling page for the tools licensed casinos provide.
Questions readers ask
Can you win real money from no deposit free spins?
Yes, within the terms. Winnings are paid as cash or as bonus funds with wagering of up to 10x, and a maximum win usually limits what can be withdrawn. The operator may ask for verification before paying out.
Do I need to verify my identity to get free spins on registration?
Yes. GB-licensed casinos must verify your age and identity before you can play, including free-to-play games, so the spins become usable only after the checks.
What does 'free spins no deposit no wager' mean?
Spins credited without a deposit whose winnings are paid as cash rather than bonus funds. A maximum win, an expiry and a single eligible slot can still apply.
Why do so few UK casinos offer no deposit spins?
The offer costs the operator money with no deposit in return, so where it exists it is usually small and capped. Sky Vegas is the one current example on this site; most GB casinos use deposit-based spins or deposit matches for new customers instead.
